Am I fully covered?

Are you fully covered?

Hi guys, I'm Chris Parks. A lot of times, I get a question, or I get a comment made from a client “oh don't worry, I've got full insurance coverage on my automobile.” And then I look at their policy, and it turns out, no they don't have full policy, or full coverage, on their automobile.

So here are three things you should look for.

Get the highest Med-Pay policy you can get. Some companies limit the amount they'll go. Some will go to $50,000 for MedPay. Some will go to $100,000 for MedPay. Some will go to $300,000. Call around. Find an insurance company that's gonna give you the highest MedPay policy you can get. Call me if you don't understand what that means.

Second, get the largest liability coverage you can get. And once you've capped out your liability coverage, ask your insurance agent if you can get some sort and umbrella policy. That will protect you even above your auto policy.

And third, make sure that you have Uninsured/Underinsured coverage, again at the maximum amount your insurance company will sell to you.

So, if you want true full coverage, those are three things to look for. If you have any questions, give me a call.
