Why take photos?

Why take photos after an accident? Well, they're always relevant. What I mean by that is, they come into court.

In a car wreck case, if you have five photos of the accident scene and a couple photos of the car that hit you, and five more of your car, that's going to come into evidence. Not only is it going to come into evidence at court, but you're going to be sharing those with the adjuster. Everyone's going to want to see those photos because it tells a lot about what happened.
