What Is Your Case Worth?

Curious about the real worth of your personal injury case? 🚗💼 Don’t fall for flashy TV ads promising million-dollar settlements—they don’t tell the whole story. In this video, we break down what really impacts your case value, including the role of insurance, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and what happens when the at-fault party lacks resources. Get the facts and learn why consulting an experienced lawyer is crucial.

So look, don't believe the TV commercial hype. If you want to know how much your case is worth, call a lawyer and ask them.

If you've been in an accident with, say, a big truck, and you live in Denver, and you see these ads every day that say, "My lawyer got me a million dollars for a big truck wreck," just remember that's an advertisement.

There are plenty of people who get in terrible accidents and have terrible injuries, but the person that caused that accident or injury either doesn't have any money or doesn't have any insurance. The limiting factor in a lot of personal injury cases is how much insurance is out there to cover the damage that's been caused.

Sometimes, it's only going to be your insurance, which is called uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage. If you don't have that type of insurance and the person that hits you simply hit and ran and couldn't be found, or perhaps they hit you and they don't have insurance, then there's nowhere to recover that money from—unless you go after the person individually.

And when you do that, there's always the possibility of bankruptcy or other impediments on collecting the money.
