Spouse in an Accident?

Did your spouse get in an accident? Seriously.

If my wife gets in an accident, I've got a real problem.

First of all, I'm going to get a phone call - which this may have happened to you - and you're worried to death, and you drop everything, and you go to the hospital. If your spouse is seriously injured, you might be at the hospital for a day or two and have to take off work.

And then when they come home, they might not be able to get out of bed, or they might be wearing a body brace. They need help getting food, clothing, bathing.

If this has happened to you, you already know about all this.

The question is, what are you going to do?

Well on top of all these problems now you have to figure out. What do you do about the car? What about the insurance company that's calling you? Exactly what is BI? What are they talking about?

It means bodily injury, by the way.

What is UM? Uninsured Motorist Coverage.

What is Med pay? There's likely no way that you know the answer to all these questions. I answer questions daily of people that have been in accidents.
