How to pay medical bills

How do you pay for medical expenses after an accident?

So how do you pay for medical expenses after an accident?

It's a big myth that the person that caused the accident will pay for your medical care as you go. In other words, each time you go to a doctor, they'll just pay for your medical care. That rarely happens.

Even though someone else caused the accident, you usually have to put it on your health insurance.

If you're lucky enough to have some sort of public assistance, you have to have your health insurance through public assistance pay for your medical care.

The bottom line is when you're in an accident, the other side is not just going to start paying for your medical bills. A lot of times, you have to wait until the case is fully resolved before you can get reimbursed for your bills.

Other times, your own health insurance is going to have to pay for the bills and at the end of the case your health insurance often has the right to be paid back - it's called subrogation.

So, whatever your specific facts are of your case, if you want to talk about it give me a call.
